The province of Pohjanmaa (Ostrobothnia i English) is located in Central Finland along the coastal shoreline of the Gulf of Bothnia. The region is characterised by expansive agricultural landscapes. Flowing fields alternate with dense patches of forest and quiet stretches of wilderness that is rich in flora and fauna.
The people of the province, the Ostrobothnians, are known for their perseverance and dependability. What they do, they do well using fine materials. The region has a long tradition in the manufacturing of
furniture and rugs. The world´s finest sailing boats also come from Ostrobothnia.
